Easy weeknight pasta the whole family eats

A one-pot pasta with pantry ingredients, ready in 20 minutes. Save it for your next busy night.

Grey, struck-through text is past Pinterest’s limit (100 title, 800 description). Where a feed cuts a title depends on the device: Pinterest says the first 40 characters are the most likely to appear.

This is a preview made by Bloomtack, not Pinterest’s own, so spacing and fonts differ a little from the real thing. The image and text stay in your browser.

Bloomtack shows every pin before it goes out. You review each one in your queue, edit it, and approve it one at a time.

What the preview shows

A pin is seen in two places: as a small card among others in a feed, and opened, with its image, title and description. The preview draws both, at the width of a phone or of a desktop, so you can see how your words and image sit together before you publish.

How to use it

  1. Type your title and description, or leave the sample text to see the layout.
  2. Add the link the pin points to. The site name under the title comes from it.
  3. Add an image from your device. The preview keeps the image’s own shape.
  4. Switch between a phone and a desktop, and watch the title and description counts in the grey tags under the fields.

Tips

  • Read the feed card first. Few people open a pin, so the image and the start of the title have to do the work.
  • Put the main words in the first 40 characters of the title. Pinterest says those are the ones most likely to appear.
  • Use a vertical image. Pinterest recommends a 2:3 shape, and the pin size checker can crop one for you.

Pin preview questions

Is this exactly how my pin will look on Pinterest?

No. It is a preview made by Bloomtack, not Pinterest’s own. Pinterest changes its layout and cuts text in ways that depend on the device, so use it to judge the image, the words and the balance, not the exact pixels.

How much of my title shows in the feed?

Pinterest says the first 40 characters of a title are the most likely to appear, and the exact cut-off depends on the device. The preview shows the first 40 and an ellipsis after them.

What shape should the image be?

Pinterest recommends a vertical 2:3 shape, or 1000 × 1500 pixels. The preview shows your image in its own shape so you can see what a different shape does to the card.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The image is drawn in your browser and never sent anywhere. Reload the page and it is gone.

Does Bloomtack show a preview of pins it makes?

Yes. Every pin Bloomtack makes goes into a review queue where you see it, edit the title and description, and approve it before it is scheduled. Nothing is published without your approval.
