Your Shopify blog
Every Shopify blog has an Atom feed. Paste your blog’s address into Bloomtack, and new articles are picked up every hour. For each article, Bloomtack reads the page for its headings, then drafts pins in your brand with titles and descriptions.
Store blogs often answer buying questions: how to choose a size, how to care for a material, gift guides. Those make strong list and step pins that send readers to the article, and from there to your products.
Your products
Products can come in as a source of their own, with the title, price, image and link. When you add a new product, Bloomtack drafts pins for it automatically, using your brand kit, and they wait for your approval like every other pin.
Product pins link straight to the product page, and like every pin link they carry UTM tags, so you can see Pinterest visits per design in your store analytics.
Setting it up
- Connect your Pinterest business account in Bloomtack.
- Add your store’s blog address. Bloomtack finds the feed and imports your latest 50 articles.
- Check the brand kit Bloomtack read from your store: logo, colors and fonts.
- Map your blog’s categories to Pinterest boards.
- Review the first pins and approve the ones you like.
Stores on WooCommerce can do the same with the WordPress plugin.
Shopify questions
Do I need to install a Shopify app?
No. Your blog connects through the feed every Shopify blog already has, so there’s nothing to install in your store.
Are product pins posted automatically?
The drafts are made automatically, but nothing is posted until you approve each pin, the same as blog pins.
