What the plugin sends for each post

The title, link, meta description or excerpt, category, tags and language
The H2 and H3 outline, which becomes list, step and checklist pins
The focus keyword from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, SEOPress or All in One SEO, when one of them is installed
The featured image with its alt text, and up to 10 images from inside the post
The published and last-updated dates

With the focus keyword, pin titles and descriptions are written around the phrase you already chose for search, so pins and posts target the same readers.

When it sends

A post is sent when you publish it and when you update it, through a queue that retries on its own if Bloomtack can’t be reached. A nightly sync catches anything that slipped through. The settings page shows the connection status, the last sync time and a button to resync your latest 50 posts.

Pinterest asks site owners to add a verification tag to claim a website. Paste Pinterest’s tag into the plugin and it adds it to your site’s head, with no theme edits.

Rich Pin readiness check

Rich Pins pull the title and description from your post’s Open Graph tags. The plugin warns you when a post is missing og:title, og:description or og:image.

WooCommerce products

Stores on WooCommerce can bring in products too: title, price, image and link. New products get pin drafts that go through the same review.

Will the plugin slow down my site?

No. It adds no scripts or styles to your public pages, and the work of sending posts runs in the background through a queue, not while a visitor loads a page.

What if I don’t use an SEO plugin?

Everything still works. Pins use the post’s title and headings, and you can set a focus keyword for any post on Bloomtack’s Content screen, or paste a list of keywords for many posts at once.
