Ghost integration
Pinterest pins for your Ghost publication
Ghost writers often skip Pinterest because there’s no plugin to lean on. Bloomtack connects through the feed every Ghost site has, and turns each new post into pins in your brand.
How the connection works
Every Ghost site publishes an RSS feed at /rss/ and a sitemap at /sitemap.xml. Paste your publication’s address into Bloomtack and it finds both. Your latest 50 posts come in first, then new posts every hour.
Ghost feeds include each post’s feature image and excerpt. Bloomtack opens each new post to read its headings, which is what turns a well-structured Ghost post into list and step pins.
Adding a focus keyword
Ghost doesn’t send an SEO focus keyword the way WordPress SEO plugins do. Set one for any post on Bloomtack’s Content screen, or paste a list of keywords for many posts at once. Pin titles and descriptions are then written around it.
Members-only posts
Bloomtack reads public pages only. Posts for members or paid subscribers can’t be read, and shouldn’t be pinned anyway, since readers arriving from Pinterest couldn’t open them.
Ghost questions
Does it work with self-hosted Ghost?
Yes. Ghost(Pro) and self-hosted sites publish the same feed and sitemap, and both work as long as the posts are public.
Will newsletter-only emails be imported?
No. Only posts published on your site appear in the feed. Emails sent only to your newsletter list aren’t imported.
