Every limit you can meet
Plan limits, upload sizes, import sizes, text lengths and the "try again" message, and where each one shows.
This page lists every limit a person can meet in Bloomtack, with the number and the place where it shows. Limits exist for two reasons: what costs us to run, and what keeps your Pinterest accounts safe. None of them is a surprise charge: when you reach one, Bloomtack says so and says what happens next.
There is no AI limit
No plan limits AI. Every AI feature runs on the key you connect yourself, so Bloomtack pays nothing for it and sets no quota. Everything also works without a key, with template text and designs. See Get an AI key and connect it.
Plan limits
Each plan limits five things, added up across all the workspaces your plan covers, plus the devices one person can sign in on.
| Plan | Pinterest accounts | Blogs | Published pins a month | Video renders a month | Team seats | Devices at once |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 3 | 3 | 750 | 300 | 2 | 3 |
| Pro | 10 | 10 | 2,500 | 1,000 | 5 | 5 |
| Business | 30 | 30 | 7,500 | 3,000 | 10 | 10 |
| Agency | 50 | 50 | 12,500 | 5,000 | 20 | 15 |
| Enterprise | 100 | 100 | 25,000 | 10,000 | 40 | 20 |
The lifetime plans (the AppSumo tiers and Founding Member) have no monthly limit on image pins and no device limit. Their accounts, blogs, seats and video renders are in Plans, limits and the usage meter. Prices and what differs between the bigger plans are in The Agency and Enterprise plans.
Where you see them: Settings, Billing, the usage meter. Each limit shows how much is used. From 80 percent it is marked Almost full, and at 100 percent Full, with what happens next. Owners and admins also get a notice and an email at 80 and 100 percent of the monthly pins and video renders.
What happens at 100 percent:
- Published pins: approved pins wait for the next month instead of failing. A pin you schedule shows that it waits.
- Video renders: a post waits for its video pins until next month. A video counts once per rendered video, including one you reject; making it again counts again. AI video made on your key does not count, but adding the end card does, as one render.
- Accounts, blogs and seats: you cannot add one more until you move to a bigger plan or free a place. If you move to a smaller plan, your data stays and the extra accounts and blogs pause. A paused account says "Your plan does not cover this Pinterest account right now."
- Devices: a sign-in on one device more than your plan allows signs the oldest device out. See Sessions and devices.
Uploads
| What you upload | Limit |
|---|---|
| A pin picture | PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 20 MB, at least 600 px on the short side, from 1:2.1 tall to 1.91:1 wide |
| A pin video | MP4, M4V or MOV, up to 100 MB, 4 seconds to 2 minutes, from 1:2 tall to 1.91:1 wide, up to 3 videos open at a time in a workspace |
| A logo | Up to 2 MB |
| A template background | Up to 10 MB |
| Music for video pins | Up to 10 MB and 5 minutes |
| A screenshot for support | Up to 5 MB |
More about the first two is in Upload your own pins. A file that breaks a limit is turned down with a plain reason.
Imports
- A blog sync reads the newest 50 posts each time, and the first 3 sitemaps. The blog shows "X of Y posts imported". Bring in older posts reads 50 more each time. Posts are never dropped silently.
- A product sync reads up to 500 WooCommerce products or 100 Shopify products. Bring in older products reads the rest.
- Import posts by address takes up to 500 addresses at a time. A CSV import takes up to 500 rows and 512 KB per file.
Pins and text
- Pins a day on one account: up to 1,000, the most the settings accept. A warning shows above 10 a day. See Pacing settings and your posting window.
- Pins a day on a board: 4 by default, and you can change it. Days between pins of one post: 7 by default, from 1 to 60.
- Pinterest's own limits on a pin's text: a title of at most 100 characters, a description of at most 500 and alt text of at most 500.
- When Pinterest is busy, Bloomtack tries a pin again after 1, 5 and 15 minutes. After that the pin is marked failed.
- Pin rules: up to 100 rules in a workspace. Video pins per post: 0 to 3. Image pins per post: 0 to 10.
People and sharing
- Team seats follow your plan. Pending invitations take a seat until they are accepted, revoked or expire.
- A workspace can be shared with up to 25 clients at a time. A client takes no seat.
"Too many requests" and "try again"
To keep the service fast and safe, some actions can only be done so often. A message that says you reached a limit names the action, the limit, why it exists and when to try again, and shows an error ID. Wait that long and press the button again. Nothing is lost while you wait. The actions that are limited are listed in The automatic rules, in plain words. If a message keeps coming back, contact support and quote the error ID.
