How Bloomtack works

From blog post to published pin in five steps: import, design, your approval, publishing at good times, and learning what works.

Bloomtack gets your blog posts in front of Pinterest readers without you designing pins or remembering to post. You stay in control: nothing is published until you approve it.

1. Your posts come in

Add your blog once. Bloomtack reads your posts through the WordPress plugin, your feed or your sitemap, and picks up new posts as you publish them. See Add a blog.

2. Bloomtack designs pins

For each post, Bloomtack designs several pins in your brand colors and fonts: photo pins from your post's images or stock photos, text pins, collages, pins that list your post's headings, and short video pins. Each pin gets its own headline, title, description and alt text, written from the post. See How your pins are designed.

3. You approve every pin

New pins wait in the Review queue. You look at each one, edit its text if you like, and approve or skip it. There is no "approve all": every pin that goes out was seen by a person. See Approve and skip pins.

4. Pins go out at natural times

Approved pins are spread over the days ahead, inside your posting window and your readers' time zone, onto the board chosen for each pin or your default boards. You see and move them on the Calendar. See Scheduling and your posting window.

5. Bloomtack learns what works

Bloomtack compares the results of your pins, such as outbound clicks, and designs more pins like the ones that bring visitors to your blog. It learns from your own account only. See Winning designs explained.

What you do not need

  • An AI key. Everything above works without one; your own key adds AI-written text if you want it. See AI keys explained.
  • Design skills or photos of your own.
  • Your Pinterest password. Bloomtack uses Pinterest's official connection.
