Edit a pin's text
Change a pin's headline, title, description or alt text before you approve it, or have its text written again for another keyword or angle.
Video guide: Review and approve your pins (1:35, no sound).
Bloomtack writes every pin's text from your post, but you have the last word. Everything here works on pins that are waiting for review.
Change the title or the description in place
Open the pin in the Review queue and press its Pin title or its Description. Type, then press Enter to save the title; in the description Enter starts a new line, and Ctrl and Enter (⌘ and Enter on a Mac) saves. Pressing anywhere else saves too, and Esc leaves the text as it was. Each shows how many characters it has against Pinterest's limit.
Change every text in one form
- Open the pin in the Review queue and press Edit texts, or the E key.
- Change any of these; each shows how many characters are left under Pinterest's limit:
- Headline on the image: the words drawn on the pin, at most 120 characters.
- Title: shown under the pin on Pinterest, at most 100 characters.
- Description: at most 500 characters.
- Alt text (for screen readers): describes the pin, at most 500 characters.
- Press Save texts. A new headline redraws the pin image, which takes a few seconds.
Have the text written again
Three controls write the title, description and headline again and redraw the pin:
- Focus keyword beside the board (or Extra keyword on a pin made for one): type another keyword and press Use.
- Angle, under the form that Edit texts opens: pick Benefit, Curiosity or How-to.
- Write again, beside Angle: a fresh version with the same keyword and angle.
With an AI key connected for copy, the new text comes from your AI provider, on your key. Without one, Bloomtack uses your text templates. If the AI provider fails, the pin says so and keeps its template texts.
Good to know
- Your edits never change the blog post itself.
- Edits apply to this pin only; pins made later are written from your post again. To change the wording of every future pin, see Your wording and banned words.
