Your wording and banned words
Words your pins never use, and your own headline patterns, title pattern and calls to action for each language, with a live preview.
Settings, Writing sets two things for every new pin in this workspace, with or without an AI key. Pins already made keep their texts.
Banned words
Under Words and phrases your pins never use, list anything your pins must not say, such as a competitor's name or a word that does not fit your brand. Put one per line or separate them with commas. End a word with \ to ban every form of it: `cheap` also covers "cheaper" and "cheapest".
Bloomtack removes these words from every new pin's text. If one comes back, for example because you typed it while editing a pin, that pin cannot be approved until you take the word out; the review queue says "This pin uses a word from your banned list". Words without letters, very long entries and anything past 200 entries are left out of the list, and the screen says which.
Wording per language
Pick a Language (English, Español, Deutsch, Français, Português or Italiano). For each angle, Benefit pins, Curiosity pins and How-to pins, you can set:
- Headline pattern: the words on the pin image, such as
{count} ways to {topic}. Placeholders:{topic},{title},{keyword}and{count}(the number of headings, used when a post has at least three). - Call to action at the end of the description, such as "Read the full post".
And once for the language:
- Title pattern: placeholders
{headline},{title}and{keyword}.
Leave a field empty to keep Bloomtack's own wording. A language with your own wording says so in the list. The Preview shows a sample post's three pins with your wording before you save.
Press Save writing rules when you are done.
Good to know
- Owners, admins and editors can change these; everyone else can read them and try the preview.
- With an AI key picked for pin copy, AI writes the text and your banned words still apply. See Pin text without AI.
- To change one pin's text, edit it in the review queue. See Edit a pin's text.
