The review queue

Where every new pin waits for your decision before anything can be published, and what the queue shows today.

Video guide: Review and approve your pins (1:35, no sound).

Bloomtack designs pins by itself, but it never publishes one you have not seen. New pins wait in the Review queue until you decide what happens to them.

The four tabs

  • Waiting: new pins that wait for your decision.
  • Approved: pins you approved, waiting for their time to go out.
  • Skipped: pins you set aside. They stay here, so you can bring one back.
  • Needs attention: pins that could not be published.

Each tab shows how many pins it holds. The sidebar shows the number of waiting pins beside Review queue too, so you see new pins from any screen. Under the title, one line says how many pins wait and how many days your approved pins cover, for example "12 pins waiting · approved pins cover 2 days".

Beside the four tabs, All, Image and Video show every pin of the tab, or only the image pins or only the video pins, each with its count.

Look at a pin

One pin of the tab is always open, as one card: the pin itself, the post it came from and its design, its title and description with their character counts, its board and its focus keyword, and the Skip, Edit texts and Approve buttons. Under the card, Up next shows every pin of the tab as a small picture, with a mark on video pins (and their length) and on pins with an AI image, and says how many come after the open one; press a picture to open that pin. On a computer the Schedule panel is on the right; on a phone it comes after Up next, and Skip, Edit texts and Approve stay at the bottom of the screen.

Move to the previous or next pin with the arrow buttons beside Up next, or with the left and right arrow keys (J and K work too).

Approving, skipping and editing

Approve a pin with Approve (or A), set it aside with Skip (or R), and change its texts with Edit texts (or E). The title and the description of a waiting pin can also be changed where they stand: press the text, type, and press anywhere else to save, or Esc to leave it as it was. On a phone, swipe right to approve and left to skip. See Approve and skip pins and Edit a pin's text.

Why there is no "approve all"

Pinterest expects a person behind every pin, and so do we. Each approval covers exactly one pin, so no button, rule or script can approve many at once. See What Bloomtack does on your Pinterest account.
