Why a post or product says Skipped

What each Skipped reason on a post or a store product means, and the one thing to do so its pins can be made.

When Bloomtack could not make any pin for a post or a product, its row says Skipped: followed by the reason and what to do. Fix the cause, then ask again.

Posts

In Posts, the reason sits under the post's title. Each reason has its own way out:

What the row says, in shortWhat to do
No photo in the post and fewer than three headingsAdd a photo to the post, or connect an AI key for AI images
No design fits this post yet: it needs a photo or at least three headingsAdd a photo or headings to the post
The designs that fit this post need an AI image, and no AI key is connectedConnect a key in Settings, then AI keys, or add a photo to the post
The images for these pins could not be made this timeTry again
Every design came out too close to a pin made in the last 30 daysTry again for other designs

When a key would help, the row has Open AI keys. See Get an AI key and connect it.

Once the cause is fixed, press Create pins on the post's row. See Create pins for your posts.

Products

Products show their reason under the product's name, in Products and in the Products tab of a blog's page.

  • No photo: "This product has no photo, and a product pin always shows the product." Add a photo to the product in your shop. Bloomtack picks it up at the next import, and there is no button to press.
  • Any other reason: the row says "Skipped: its pins could not be made this time." and has Create pins beside it. Press it, and the product waits for pins again: the row says "Pins not made yet" until they are made. New pins are in the review queue in a few minutes.

See Pins for your store products.

Good to know

  • The reason is cleared when you ask for pins again. If they still cannot be made, the row shows the new reason.
  • A product that is out of stock gets no pins until it is back in stock. Its line starts with "Out of stock".
