Reconnect a Pinterest account
What "Reconnect it to keep posting" means, why it happens and how to fix it in a minute.
Bloomtack keeps your Pinterest connection fresh on its own. Sometimes Pinterest stops accepting it anyway. The account's row on Settings → Pinterest accounts then says in red: "Pinterest no longer accepts this connection. Reconnect it to keep posting." On every other screen a red notice above the page says it too, with a Reconnect Pinterest button for owners and admins.
Why it happens
- You removed Bloomtack's access in your Pinterest settings.
- You changed your Pinterest password or Pinterest ended your sessions for security.
- The connection was not used for a long time and expired.
While an account needs reconnecting, nothing is published to it. Your approved pins wait.
Steps
- On Pinterest, sign in to the same account.
- In Bloomtack, go to Settings → Pinterest accounts.
- Press Reconnect on the account's row and approve Bloomtack on Pinterest.
The row goes back to normal. Your board mappings and pin history are kept, because it is the same account.
Good to know
- Only owners and admins see the Reconnect button.
- If you reconnect while a different Pinterest account is signed in, that other account is connected instead. Sign out of Pinterest first if you manage several accounts.
- After converting to a business account, reconnect so Bloomtack sees the change. See Business or personal account.
