Disconnect a Pinterest account
Stop publishing to an account and delete its tokens and Pinterest data from Bloomtack. Pins already on Pinterest stay.
Disconnecting cannot be undone, so Bloomtack asks you to type the account name first.
What disconnecting does
- Stops every scheduled pin for this account.
- Deletes the account's tokens, board mappings and pin results from Bloomtack.
- Leaves every pin that is already on Pinterest where it is.
Your blogs, posts, brand kits and pin designs stay in the workspace.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Pinterest accounts.
- On the account's row, press Disconnect.
- If Bloomtack shows Confirm it's you, press it and sign in again, then come back within 5 minutes.
- Type the account name, for example
crumbandkettle, into the box. - Press Disconnect crumbandkettle (the button shows your account's name).
You see "crumbandkettle is disconnected. Its tokens and Pinterest data are deleted." Press Keep connected instead if you changed your mind.
Also remove access on Pinterest (optional)
Bloomtack ends the connection on its side. To be thorough, you can also check Pinterest's settings for apps with access to your account and remove Bloomtack there.
Good to know
- Only owners and admins can disconnect.
- To connect again later, press Connect Pinterest. The account starts fresh: its old results are gone, so Bloomtack learns again from new pins.
- If you only want to pause publishing for a while, do not disconnect; simply stop approving new pins.
