Create a workspace

Add a workspace for another blog or client, name it and pick the time zone its pins are timed for.

Your first workspace is created right after you sign up. You can add more at any time.

Steps

  1. Open the workspace switcher: at the top of the sidebar on a computer, or at the top of the screen on a phone.
  2. Choose New workspace at the bottom of the menu. (Your very first workspace starts from New workspace on the dashboard.)
  3. Fill in the form:
    • Workspace name: usually the blog's name, for example "Crumb & Kettle". Up to 80 characters.
    • Time zone: detected from your browser. Change it if the blog's audience lives elsewhere; for a US food blog written from Europe, pick the readers' time zone, such as America/Chicago.
  4. Press Create workspace.

The new workspace opens at once, and the dashboard shows its setup checklist. See The setup checklist.

Why the time zone matters

Bloomtack plans when each pin goes out based on the workspace's time zone, so pins reach your readers at sensible hours. Pick the time zone where most of your readers are, not where you are.

Good to know

  • You are the owner of every workspace you create.
  • A new workspace starts empty: connect Pinterest and add the blog, even if another workspace already has them.
  • The next time you sign in, Bloomtack opens the workspace you used last.

If something goes wrong

  • The name is refused: use 1 to 80 characters.
  • The form shows an error with an ID: try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, send the error ID to support. See Error IDs and getting help.
