Add keywords for many posts at once

Paste a list of keywords, and each one becomes an extra pin for the post it fits, linking to that post.

Each post gets pins for its focus keyword. Add keywords gives posts more: every keyword you paste becomes an extra pin for the post it fits, and that pin links to the post.

Steps

  1. Open Posts and press Add keywords.
  2. Paste your keywords into Keywords, one per line. To choose the post yourself, add its address after the keyword, for example lemon curd tart, https://your-blog.com/lemon-bars/.
  3. Press Check keywords. Nothing is saved yet: each line shows Matched with the post it goes to, Pick a post when several posts fit, or Skipped with the reason.
  4. For each Pick a post line, choose the post from the list, or keep Leave it out. Back returns to your list.
  5. Press Add N keywords. The new pins reach the review queue within a few minutes.

See and remove keywords

The keywords you added show as chips under each post in the Posts table. Press the × on a chip to remove it; you can undo that for 10 seconds. Pins already made for the keyword stay.

Good to know

  • Owners, admins and editors can add and remove keywords; reviewers see them only.
  • Every pin still needs your approval before it posts.
  • To change the main keyword of one post, use Add keyword or Edit keyword on its row. See Focus keywords.
