Music for video pins
Choose a licensed track from the library or upload your own audio. Music is off by default.
Video pins are silent unless you choose music, and music plays only when someone turns the sound on.
Choose
In Settings, Music, under Music in video pins, pick one:
- No music: video pins play silently, as most people scroll with the sound off.
- Bloomtack's licensed library: calm background tracks, each with a licence proof. One is picked per post.
- My own tracks: tracks you uploaded. One is picked per post.
The choice applies to new video pins.
The licensed library
Every track has a written licence that allows use in videos you publish on Pinterest, and we keep the proof. The library never offers copyrighted songs. While it is being put together, use your own tracks or keep videos silent.
Your own tracks
- Under Your tracks, give the Track title and choose the Audio file: MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC, up to 10 MB and 5 minutes.
- Tick that you own the audio or have a licence to use it in videos you publish on Pinterest. We keep a record of that confirmation.
- Press Upload track. The file is checked for safety and converted before use.
Switch off keeps a track but stops using it; Remove deletes it. Your tracks are only available in your workspace.
Good to know
Pinterest may mute or remove videos with music you have no rights to, so only upload audio you are sure about.
