AI images
Generate pin backgrounds from your post on your own AI key, with a safety check on every prompt and an AI label on every image.
AI images help bloggers with few photos of their own. Bloomtack writes a prompt from your post, your AI provider generates the image, and it goes into a pin template like any other photo.
Before you start
- Connect a key from a provider with image models and pick it for the AI images task under AI tasks on Settings → AI keys. See Get an AI key and connect it.
- Choose AI images for the whole workspace under Settings, then Writing, in Pin images, or for one post in Pin images for this post in the post's History in Posts. The Create pins panel has an Image source row too. AI images stays greyed out until a key is picked for the task. See Choose where pin images come from.
How the prompt is made
From your post's title, focus keyword, headings and category, plus a style (for example a flat-lay photo or a soft watercolor) and your brand colors. Every prompt asks for:
- no people,
- no text and no logos,
- an empty area where the headline goes.
The safety check
Every prompt, including prompts you edit, is checked in two steps:
- Our rules, at no cost to you: requests for real or identifiable people, logos, trademarks and misleading results, such as a finished dish the recipe does not make, are removed or refused. Names of people and brands found in the post are left out.
- A short check on your own text model, when your workspace has one, which flags anything the rules missed.
Bloomtack tells you in plain words what was removed or refused. Without a text-capable key only the first step runs, and the screen says so. Your provider's own safety filter always stays on.
The AI label
AI images are marked "AI" in Bloomtack, and the finished pin carries a standard tag in its file that tells Pinterest it contains AI imagery. Pinterest may show its own "AI modified" label.
Edit and regenerate
In the review queue, a pin with an AI image has a field named What the AI image shows. Change the words and press Draw again. You change only the subject; the style, your brand colors and the rule of no people, no text and no logos stay. Each new image is billed by your provider to your account.
Good to know
- Pins with AI images go through the same review as every other pin.
- The prompt is built from your blog post only, never from anything on Pinterest.
