The one-time account audit

Why Bloomtack asks once to read your top pins and boards, what it keeps, and what happens if you skip it.

Right after you connect an account, Bloomtack asks one question under it: "May Bloomtack read this account's top pins and boards once?"

What the audit does

If you press Allow once, Bloomtack reads your own top pins and boards one time, in a few seconds. It looks at which kinds of pins earned the most clicks, for example photo pins or text pins, and whether your video pins do better than image pins. It uses that to pick your starting designs instead of our general defaults.

When it is done, the account row shows a summary such as "Your top pins earned 1,240 clicks from 86,000 views in the last 90 days." If your video pins earn more clicks, the summary says so and video designs get an extra slot.

What is kept

Only totals. Bloomtack does not copy your pins, their images or their descriptions, and the totals never go to an AI service.

Skip it

Press Skip and Bloomtack picks your starting designs without reading your pins. The row then says "Starting designs were picked without reading your pins." Nothing else changes: Bloomtack still learns from the results of the pins it publishes for you.

Good to know

  • The question is asked once per account, and only owners and admins see it.
  • If the audit fails, the row says "We could not finish setting up this account's starting designs" with an error ID. Owners and admins can press Try again or Skip. Nothing was published and nothing was lost.
  • Bloomtack connects only business accounts, because Pinterest shares pin results only with them. See Business or personal account.
  • The audit never looks at other people's pins.
