Sync, pause or remove a blog
Check a blog for new posts now, stop imports for a while, or remove the blog from Bloomtack with 10 seconds to undo.
Each blog on Blogs has three actions: Sync now, Pause and Remove. Open the blog to see them. Owners, admins and editors can use them.
Sync now
Bloomtack checks feeds and sitemaps every 15 minutes, and the WordPress plugin sends posts as you publish them. Press Sync now when you just published something and want it in Bloomtack right away. You see "Sync started." and the status line changes to "Synced" with the time once it is done.
Pause and resume
Press Pause to stop importing new posts from this blog, for example while you rework old posts or move the blog to a new address. The status line says "Paused. New posts are not imported."
- Posts already imported stay, with their pins.
- Sync now is turned off while the blog is paused.
- Press Resume to start again. The next sync picks up everything published in the meantime.
Remove a blog
Removing deletes the blog's imported posts and products from Bloomtack. Your blog itself is not touched, and you can add it again later.
- Press Remove.
- Type the blog's name, for example
Crumb & Kettle, to confirm. - Press Remove blog, or Keep it to cancel.
For 10 seconds a message offers Undo. Press it and the blog comes back as it was. After 10 seconds the removal is final.
Good to know
- Removing a blog does not disconnect Pinterest or delete pins that are already on Pinterest.
- If the blog used the WordPress plugin, also press Disconnect in the plugin's settings, or deactivate the plugin, so it stops sending posts.
